Fiber OoOoptics(late xa,sorry sir)

uses

  1. communication

-=it is used as cables because of its flexibility

-=fiber saves space in cable ducts because a single fiber can carry much more data than a single electrical cable

-=it is immune to electrical interference

-=(which prevents cross-talk between signals in different cables and pickup of environmental noise)

-=fiber cables can be used in environments where explosive fumes are present, without danger of ignition, because they are non-electrical

  2. optic sensors

-=can be used as sensors to measure strain, temperature, pressure

-=used as hydrophones for seismic or solar application which is used by the oil industry

-=it is well suited for this environment as it is functioning at temperatures too high for semiconductor sensors

-=another is the optical gyroscope which is in use in the Boeing 767 and in some car models (for navigation purposes) and the use in Hydrogen microsensors

-=it can measure temperature with great accuracy

The graded recitation last Thursday was shocking! Not because it was unexpected, i mean it was announced but i didn’t expect the questions would actually be... oh! I dont know what to say. I was called when i was on the verge of sleeping because we came from a sleepy subject... and my question was... well i forgot what it was exactly but it was something about a sonic boom... uhmm... i wonder why sir doesn’t give questions for identification or for giving the formula..

I had something that gave me a bit of joy and disappointment last Monday. I did my homework all by myself and for like the first time i didn’t need to copy my classmates’ answers. I was really happy with it that my stupideness came to me again. I forgot to double my answers!!! Theanswer was suppose to be negative but my answer was positive!!! Grrr..... so stupid of me not to try to be careful when dealing with equations like those. Next time (if there will ever be) i will be careful and try to stick it to my brains.

  2. Virtual image

Eyes are organs of vision that detect light. Different kinds of light-sensitive organs are found in a variety of organisms. The simplest eyes do nothing but detect whether the surroundings are light or dark, while more complex eyes can distinguish shapes and colors. The visual fields of some such complex eyes largely overlap, to allow better depth perception (binocular vision), as in humans; and others are placed so as to minimize the overlap, such as in rabbits and chameleons.

A camera is a device used to capture images, as still photographs or as sequences of moving images (movies or videos). The term as well as the modern-day camera evolved from the camera obscura, Latin for "dark chamber", an early mechanism for projecting images, in which an entire room functioned as a real-time imaging system. The camera obscura was first invented by the Iraqi scientist Alhazen and described in his Book of Optics (1011-1021). English scientists Robert Boyle and Robert Hooke later invented a portable camera obscura in 1665-1666

Cameras may work with the light of the visible spectrum or with other portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. A camera generally consists of some kind of enclosed hollow, with an opening or aperture at one end for light to enter, and a recording or viewing surface for capturing the light at the other end. Most cameras have a lens positioned in front of the camera's opening to gather the incoming light and to focus the image, or part of the image, on the recording surface. The diameter of the aperture is often controlled by a diaphragm mechanism, but some cameras have a fixed-size aperture.

galing wikipedia toh!!! hehehe...

POSERS/POSEURS

I'd like to say something...

I love the things I love because I love them and not because MY FRIENDS love them. I don't love something because EVERYONE loves it. I don't love something just because it's popular or it makes me look good to everyone's eyes. Do you know who I think I am? No. You don't.

So if I come to love you it's because I do and not because my friends do.

GET IT?

So if I were you, I would express myself as I am and not as what my friends are. (oha, oha, english un!!! ang tagal kong pinag-isipan kung tama ba ung grammar). Anyway, you, whoever you are if you're like this, a poser (as what hope says), please change. Don't be a clown for Pete's sake! Stop hiding your true feelings! If your happy, stay happy. If your sad, be sad. If you don't like something, then don't be afraid to tell the whole world you don't. DON’T LOVE SOMETHING JUST BECAUSE IT’S POPULAR OR JUST BECAUSE IT MAKES YOU LOOK GOOD TO EVERYONE’S EYES. I think that's very stupid.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I HATE POSERS.

In case your wondering what I mean by poser...

poser
noun
1. a person who habitually pretends to be something he is not [syn: poseur]
